Massive death Rate across the world in 2020 due to malaria

The world malaria report conducted in 2020 shows the countries with most malaria death rate.

Nigeria is one of the countries with the highest population of death rate due to the malaria with about 27% of dead citizens.

DR of Congo is the second highest country who lost about 12% of their citizens due to the malaria as at 2020.

Ugandan was also not left out of these dreadful incident that happened 2020.Uganda lost about 5% of their citizens due to the malaria.

Mozambique is the fourth country among the countries reported by channel who lost about 4% of their citizens due to the malaria in 2020.

Angola and Burkina Faso lost about 3.4% of their citizens due to the massive death due to malaria.

Nearly half of the world’s population lives in areas at risk of malaria transmission in 87 countries and territories. In 2020,malaria caused an estimated 241 million clinical episode and 627,000 deaths.

Rate of poor people in Nigeria by zone

According to the Research conducted by “the cable index” shows the analysis and statistical result that North West has the highest number of poor people in Nigeria with the total population of about 45.5million citizens.

The North East also rank the second highest with about 20.5 million poor people in its zone.

The North Central are also not left behind, these zone has about 20.2million poor people in its zone.

South South is the fourth highest With the total population of 19.7 million poor people in its zone.

Next is the South West,with the number of 16.3 million poor people in its zone.

Finally the South East with the population of 10.9 million poor people in its zone.

These Zone’s are faced with multidimensional poverty such as lack of adequate financial resources, unemployment, absence of social service, food insecurity etc.

This shows that about I33.1 million people are poor in Nigeria and there is need for the government to put more efforts in these areas.

An overview of water pollution

Water pollution is the contamination of water sources by substance which make the water unusable for drinking, cooking,cleaning, swimming and other activities. Pollutants include chemicals, trash,bacteria and parasites.

According to Engineer S.A Omale,department of Agriculture Kaduna polytechnic. He defined water pollution as the pollution of water either by industrial waste,underground filtration or toxic meters that might cause harm to human health.

Causes of water pollution

1.spill or leaks from oil and chemical containers on surface of water

2.trade effluent going into surface water drains

3.run-off containing fertilizers and pesticides from farms into surface water

Water pollution can cause water to become toxic to humans and its environment. If a water source becomes contaminated due to pollution, it can lead to health issues such as diarrhea ,cancer, or cardiovascular conditions.

Preventive measures of water pollution

1.never clean up a spill by hosting it into a storm drain

2.do not dispose chemicals, motor oil,or other automotive fluids into sanitary sewer or storm sewer system both of them ends at the river

3.the government should also ensure that the Sims bury water pollution control are carrying out their work effectively .

4.pick up litters and throw it away in a garbage can and not into bodies of water.
